Proud to announce that there is now an open source, free version of my self developed home alarm system – also in use at my home.
It is written in AutoIT, my by far favorite computer programming language – even before Python – in which I already have more than 50,000 lines of code of experience.
Here a short overview what the system is capable of:
-photo recording
-self developed incident detection using multiple video & sound sources
-person/movement recognition
-life upload of incident photos to cloud
-notification of the incident via email
-on-site alarm including speech through loudspeaker
-trigger phone calls, actions such as locking doors, etc. in a fully modular fashion.
-remotely controllable via telegram
-extremely easy and cheap to deploy. All you need is: laptop, microphone(s), webcam(s). Webcam may be placed e.g. near entrance door, microphone may be placed e.g. in living room, doors, etc. Condenser microphone can reach extreme sensibility and thus high true positive rate (TPR) of incident detection module.
